2. Podcast Artwork
You need stellar cover art to showcase your podcast in any directory. Spotify requires high-resolution square (1:1) cover art in PNG, JPEG, or TIFF formats.
3. Podcast Title and Description
Restrict the length of consumer-facing fields such as episode titles to 20 characters to avoid truncation on Spotify.
4. RSS Feed
Make sure the RSS feed of your podcast has a title, description, and cover art. Additionally, it should include at least one live episode.
5. Special Characters
If you’re using special characters such as “&” in your title or description, make sure it includes it’s HTML encoded. Moreover, avoid using HTML tags such as <bold>, <head>, etc. because Spotify removes them.
6. File Size

If your RSS feed link is correct, the podcast title, description, creator’s name, artwork, etc. will appear on the right side.
Step 4 – Verify Ownership
In the next step, Spotify will verify that you own the podcast. Hit the “Send Code” button to receive an 8-digit code on the email address associated with the RSS feed.
Check your inbox and enter the verification code on your Spotify dashboard. Thereafter, click on “Next”.
Step 5 – Add Your Podcast Details
In this step, you need to provide Spotify with a few details about your podcast including the primary language and your hosting provider’s name. You also have to mention the country in which you’ve made your podcast. Additionally, you should select a relevant primary category and sub-categories. If your podcast covers a diverse array of topics, you can select two more categories with relevant sub-categories.
Once you’ve entered all the required information, click on “Next”.
